Brian Fischman
Co-founder & CEO, Get Up and Flow
Brian Fischman is a technologist, product leader, and repeat founder who has spent more than twelve years building AI and machine learning products — from zero-to-one startups to some of the largest e-commerce and financial platforms in the world. He has also lived the problem Get Up and Flow exists to solve: diagnosed with ADHD in the 4th grade, he spent decades engineering his own systems, structures, and accountability to build a demanding career on top of a brain that doesn’t run on willpower alone. Get Up and Flow is the support system he wishes had existed the whole time.
Brian co-founded his first venture-backed startup in 2013 as Chief Product Officer, growing subscription revenue more than 50% year over year for three consecutive years. At Walmart E-Commerce he led AI-driven personalization as Group Product Manager, among many responsibilities: managing a team of product managers, designing an orchestration layer that became core to Walmart’s omni-channel infrastructure, and created a $4B+ revenue expansion initiative. Earlier, he built ML-driven financial products at American Express and the first machine-learning recommendation system at Total Wine & More, which reached #1 US mobile market share by revenue in its category.
Brian went on to co-found Ascendia AI and lead it as CEO: a speech-based mental health diagnostics startup applying deep learning to 55+ vocal biomarkers across 18,000+ hours of clinical audio and 5,200 patients, backed by pre-seed investors including early backers of 23andMe and a multinational pharmaceutical company. On his own time, Brian designs cognitive AI infrastructure and knowledge-graph systems.
At Get Up and Flow, Brian leads the company and in-house technology. Along with Dr. Parsons' strategic and clinical inputs, Brian developed the proprietary platform, methodologies, and coach-supporting tools. He is a graduate of Columbia University, magna cum laude, where he skippered two seasons on the sailing team. He is a founding member of AI Circle, a community of leaders building the frontier of AI; and has logged more than 240 hours of healthcare volunteering with God’s Love We Deliver. He is a dedicated father and a Labrador Retriever enthusiast.
